Volunteer to work with ISAS

“I felt very bad about myself because I was drinking and had health problems. I thought about trying to move away and get into sheltered housing. Then someone brought me along to the pensioners group. I talked to the adviser about drinking as a disease, and now I go to Alcoholics Anonymous. I’m not going to move, I like going to the group, I have friends there and I can help now.” Rose, 63

Over the years volunteers have helped ISAS in a variety of ways. Their support has been essential to maintaining the quality and level of our service. If you have some time you could set aside for us on a regular basis, then you could help us make a difference to people’s lives.

We offer the opportunity for you to work in a team, give something back to the community, assist with the development of services, learn new skills, and meet new people. We need people who are reliable, non-judgmental, and honest, who have a sense of humour and are willing to go the extra mile.

We are currently looking for volunteers to assist with our Pensioner Groups in Ealing and Hammersmith.

We also need voluntary advisors.  We will give you the knowledge and training, if necessary, so that you can help people with basic advice. We ask you to commit to work with us for a minimum of six months.

We need voluntary help with general administrative tasks such as answering the phone and updating client files.
